Ilaria Demo De Lorenzi
Ilaria Demo De Lorenzi is an art director and interdisciplinary artist based in Milan.
Ilaria graduated with hons from NABA,
BA in Arts and Fashion design, in Milano, 2018.
In 2019, Ilaria attended the MJW ( Milan Jewelry Week), winning the “Scuola Ambrosiana Award” at the event “ Artistar Jewels” and
she will attend MJW again in October 2022.
In 2020 she attended the the “Art Direction for Fashion” course at Central St. Martins College - London.
At the moment Ilaria works as art director in the fashion, music and art field, and her work as multimedia artist is located in several international galleries such as “Galeria Alice Floriano” in Brazil.
The project “Escapism” started in 2020.
Focusing her work mainly on themes such as death, the forgotten, broken or unloved, Ilaria’s work is based on archive, preservation of memories, spiritualiy and the creation of wearable one-of-a-kind artefacts, made with real plants, insects, bones or teeth.
Ilaria combines many mediums together such as analog photography and experimental techniques, cyanotipes, sculptures, fusions and materials found at flea markets.
All together these mediums create a world in which what is explored is the story of those life forms that already came to an end and left traces
(like bodies, organic material or photos) behind.
