Lukas Opekar - Imprint

This is how artist Lukas Opekar introduces us to his interesting work.

“ I take a graphic approach to photography. I explore the possibilities of imprinting reality, without interventions and modifications, with a loosened relationship between the observer and the observed.

My long-term motif is the textures and shapes of trees, grass and other plants. I work with the method of photographic scanning. I am fascinated by the possibility of looking at objects outside the usual time and space, which allows the use of computer vision techniques.
The texture is created by looking from different sides and recording movement over time. This results in images unencumbered by our perspective and time constraints. This work should convey the wonder of something that is not directly visible and cannot be directly photographed.
The output of my work are moving images (4k video) and prints”.
