Domenico Nardulli aka Domingo was born in Puglia, lives and works in Milan as a photographer, after graduating in 2011 at APAB in Florence.
Founder of doubleone_studio, his artistic production is distinguished by a realistic and ironic approach based on the research of everyday objects and usually unnoticed situations.
As Domingo says:
Puglia, the place where I was born, transmitted important values to me: determination, ambition, resourcefulness, spontaneity, but above all an always winning idea of simplicity. I believe in “Less is more”.
We must take off all the conventions, the superstructures that surround us and rediscover our authenticity.
It’s important not take yourself too seriously. As Calvino would say
“Take life lightly. What lightness is not superficiality, but gliding over things from above, not having boulders on the heart. [...] For me, lightness is associated with precision and determination, not with vagueness and abandonment to chance. "
