W(h)oman conveys the discomfort experienced by many women who feel compelled to wear uncomfortable shoes and oversized jackets in order to be accepted, while constantly worrying about making that effort too visible.
Because she is a woman, she will often find herself expected to perform a role, or rather, to perform as a man, depending on the situation.
A woman who is "too" feminine is often deemed inappropriate. She is not considered professional.
As a result, workplaces become environments that slowly wear people down, deepening feelings of loneliness and inadequacy. Yet women possess the remarkable ability to give voice to their emotions. For this reason, even when isolated in the workplace, a woman will seek connection with another woman.
Through dialogue comes awareness, and from awareness emerges the determination to gradually shape one's own destiny, beginning with the environment that surrounds her.
This project, therefore, is not about defeat but about resilience: the resilience of those who occupy a space that was never designed for them and who, even in silence, continue to exist, like embers that keep burning beneath the ashes.
